well-behaved women rarely make history - laurel thatcher ulrich

Between creating a website, making a unit plan, a tiered lesson plan and all the other assignments I can understand what a first year teacher goes through. It's a bit intimidating to see all that has to happen to have a good classroom, but I think I can handle it.

On a lighter note, creating a website is much easier than I thought. I figured learning some of the basics of HTML would help me later in life.

Finally - I'm calling it now, Flyer's are in the you-know-whats in april (it's bad luck to say it before it happens)

Great quote! I really enjoyed making the webpage and can't wait to make my own when I start teaching. The first year will be the hardest, but I'm sure you will do just fine. Teaching is you calling.

Hey Kim,

Yea, girl, I'm definitely with you on the "overwhelming" feeling of a first year teacher! It's funny, I just ended my second year teaching freshmen forum, and even from THAT experience, I was able to experience the transition from teaching as a "brand new teacher/mentor" (and basically loathing the program much because of the extra work) to finishing my second year and LOVING my class-mostly, because I felt prepared and experienced. I can only imagine how that feeling will escalate with ACTUAL teaching!

Regardless, it'll be fun though..as long as we've got passion, we've got a great God to lead our way..right? :)
